Full design system for a next-generation neo-financial platform.
Lumo Finance is a next-generation neo-financial platform built for people and small businesses who want to manage money with clarity, transparency, and speed. The product combines real-time analytics, automation, and AI — all wrapped in an interface designed to feel effortless. The challenge was to build a complete brand from scratch: naming, metaphor, identity, product design, website, and promotional materials.
The brand is built around a single natural phenomenon — caustics. The shifting, luminous patterns that appear when light refracts through water. Like caustics, Lumo illuminates what was previously obscured: complex financial flows made visible, immediate, and easy to understand. This metaphor shaped every design decision, from the naming itself to the brand symbol — the letter L, constructed as a refraction of light.
The visual identity translates the caustic metaphor into a precise, modern design language: fluid light forms, a sharp and confident typeface, and a system built to scale across the full product surface. The work covered the logo and identity system, app UI, website design, and a range of promotional assets — all unified by the same underlying idea of bringing light to complexity.
